Lincoln was a grifter, a railroad man, a kickback crony for big rail. Worse still, he was a statist. He didn't care about liberty, didn't care about truth, and didn't give a rat's ass about freeing slaves. Emancipation was just an escalation of the economic war he had been fighting against the southern States since he first went to Congress.
