It probably was the US, and they are just throwing Ukraine under the bus because they can.
And if it was Ukraine that carried out the attack, I can pretty much guarantee the US aided them directly with doing so. As there is absolutely no way that Ukraine could have pulled it off alone.
It doesn't seem to have necessarily been confirmed, Ukraine may have plotted it but whether or not they actually carried it out? Can't really condemn based on intention alone. It just seems to indicate that spec ops were potentially planning it.
It could be something as simple as, Ukraine floated the idea around with the U.S government beforehand, the U.S offered to make it happen so that the evidence wouldn't lead back to Ukraine. This is a very common way the U.S does things, always through third parties to avoid culpability. That seems more likely to me than Ukraine directly targeting places like that, though they have been raiding and attempting sabotages in Russia as of late.
The way it read to me, Ukraine didn't even tell the US about it. Either way, it pretty much discredits the idea that Russia blew up their own pipeline.
Oh I agree on that last bit, the problem is there's what they haven't told us. Even if they aren't technically lying, they could be omitting various bits of info. Very often the U.S will pretend they're not operating in an area when they really are. The U.S definitely sent in soldiers already as support for artillery and stuff like that, would not be shocked if they mixed in special forces without saying anything about it and things like that, very common thing to happen in modern warfare.
Yeah. Intelligence reports never say how they got the info, so we have no choice but to make an inference there, but my reading is that Ukraine was planning it themselves. This also makes the most sense from the Ukrainian POV since the US could've spoiled those plans by alerting Germany etc.
I really doubt the US sent in soldiers close to any front line. Special forces, yes probably (operating under cover), but if uniformed US soldiers got killed in Ukraine and Russia used their deaths for propaganda, that could drag the US directly into the war. Very grave risk for no great benefit. But away from the front lines? Yes, without a doubt.
I'm sure Ukraine has plans for a lot of things that never happen & some that do.
The European intelligence reporting was shared on the chat platform Discord, allegedly by Air National Guard member Jack Teixeira. The Washington Post obtained a copy from one of Teixeira’s online friends.
I'm impressed, I had assumed it was either the US one of its Nordic allies, and didn't think Ukraine had the capability to pull it off.

Anyone who believed that obvious bullshit is already beyond help. Just asking Que Bueno was enough to discredit the "Russia did it!" Narrative™.

They are STILL drip feeding that shit out?!
