I've noticed they've really been pushing white male/mixed black female these days. Never a fully black female, however. Always mixed or bi-racial.
I wonder why. It appears that it is becoming quite unpopular to showcase white female/black male relationships, as well as Asian female/white male relationships, even though they are far more statistically likely than the reverse pairs.
I think Hollywood doesn't want to stray too far from western beauty standards at least for now and for big budget shit. The Little Mermaid is further than they'd usually go.
