Nevada golf course replaces grass to conserve water
Persistent drought has been hitting the Rockies, and it's pushing businesses to make some long-term adjustments. One such business is golfing. A Nevada golf course is replacing their grass to conserve water. So far, they've converted 39 acres of cool-seaso...
Golf is literally conspicuous consumption: the game, and having a huge field of grass in the middle of a desert is wasteful and stupid. Paying for the water isn't enough because of unpriced externalities, ie you are consuming a limited shared resource.
If you are pro-desert-golf just because some retard is anti-desert-golf, then you are just a reactionary simpleton and are not thinking for yourself.
No, I am pro golf because I like golf. I have better things to do than form my opinions purely to spite meaningless retards..
Yeah I'm inclined to agree, I'm being an obnoxious centrist, but you can give golfing the middle finger while not being a retard. Let's be real, it is a pretentious as fuck sport, the fact that there are elites in LA of all places where water is scarce pumping water to maintain fucking grasslands for their silly ball hobby is ridiculous.
At the same time though, I get the point the OP is making about these retards because they come across as run of the mill anti-capitalists, making their out of touch anti-capitalist arguments. That makes me inclined to hate them as well which is why I often end up rooting for the nuke everybody option.
I disagree with you, I think golf is a great sport.
