It is a good move to isolate yourself from the system but the thing is that these guys are not truly out of the system. They still rely on it to live. Imagine instead if all these men became self sufficient. If you grow your own food, you don't need the system anymore. You might still need the help of your neighbor sometimes but there wouldn't be a need for a centralized machine like we have now. Hence, without a need, the system lose its control and thus its power. I honestly believe that moving towards this form of distributism would solve 90% of all our problems. This is more or less how society used to work after all and it got us this far so it's already proven.

The issue is that not everyone wants to be a farmer obviously and most of these guys just want to jack off, watch tv and game all day. With container farms tech and things like that though, you don't need to spend all your day farming/hunting/etc. You regain some of your time to do those other things so it might be more appealing to the average person. It's not too different than having a job except now you work directly for yourself. The issue remain to get the money for the initial investment though... Honestly, I'm preparing to do this myself and if it works out, I'll start a charity or something to help others do the same. Or idk, at least I'll try to share the process to make it as easy as possible
