Don the armor of reason, and her histrionic nonsense has no power. Don the armor of faith, and her words hold no power. There's no true authority to undergird them. Only emotional incontinence.

It's all a show. A sleight of hand. It's meant to make you think there's something powerful behind it. There isn't. It's all nonsense.

Unfortunately, it seems to be convincing to the most vulnerable people in the world. The most bitter and resentful people in the world. The ones most consumed by their envy and avarice. The ones least able to marshal their reason in service of something useful, or stand firm in their faith of something real.
