Where does "cooker" come from?
First time I'm hearing the term.

Australia’s word of the year shortlist in 2022. Somebody who questioned the safety of the untested shot from a company with a long history of fraudulent products!
As a non-kangaroo, though, why 'cooker?' What is the term supposed to evoke? I am completely baffled by it's derogatory usefulness in this context. Is it just some meme's phrase with an accidental origin? The article mentions the original appearance was a nobody claiming a group was "Brad and his little cooked pals." Was that a typo of 'crooked,' or is there some other connotation there we're not getting?
Cooked her in aus meant drugged up or drunk af. You're not the full shilling because of substances, drunk or stoned. It also has just 'crazy' connotations. Even if you're not actually high atm, a schizo could be acting cooked...
Example sentences: "Yo mate I got sooo cooked last night" (after a long night of abusing alcohol and meds) "haha look at Bruce, he's cooked as" (Bruce then gets a cock and/or moustache drawn on his face in a sharpie by Wally)
So then that explains the push to get it associated with antivaxxers.
