Always makes me kek there are people this fucking stupid who to this day say stuff like this and somehow don't stop to think their words might be leaked when it keeps happening.
They're not sending their best. Or they are, which explains so much more.
if an attractive girl suddenly pretended to be interested in my work
They don't have to be attractive, they just have to be in your league. Heck, depending on your self-esteem and if you're desperate enough, someone below your league would work just as well, probably more so.
As far as being interested in your work, if they're in the same field, it's perfectly reasonable to have a discussion on what you do. But, even if they're not, they'll play to your vanity, your attempts to make an impression, or maybe you just want to get something off of your shoulder.
Anyway, I don't think these string operations are as braindead as O'Keefe might have people believe.
I am like that too. I think it is also how lonely modern life is, especially for people trying to move up in the world and moving around for jobs. I have been told repeatedly coworkers are not your friends, but when you spend 40 to 60 hours a week with them it is hard not to slip up and say things you shouldn't. I am trying to move back to my family's area to help mitigate this.

The honeypots O'keefe ran must have been some hot girls and guys. Or the average corpo coomer is just that much of a coomer.
