I only see the religious iconography paired with Trump from Q anon believing boomers.

Larry Schwiekart is sadly a prime example of this. That man was a respected conservative history professor before he went full Trump cultist and posted pictures of Jesus Christ placing his hands on Trump's shoulder and Trump riding a lion.

This is what cultism looks like.
