I guess most of the "bad" reviews have already been removed because I only saw a single red "plz localize" zero score review from December 22, 2022 for the PS5, with all other aggregated ratings 8 or above.
Considering the "review bombing hurts small, LGBTQETC games/publishers more" comment at the end of the article, I wonder if this is not about Chained Echoes at all, but a different, less popular game entirely, or a general attempt to gather sympathy for the queer community by conflating localization woes with rainbow oppression.

It’s can also be a Chinese review bombs. The game is localized in Korean and Japanese but not Chinese and that tends to tussle some of their jimmies.
"Michael Hoss" doesn't sound like a Japanese name.
