They don’t care about the historical Cleopatra, none of their viewers know anything about her anyway.

It’s the Liz Taylor version of Cleopatra they’re trying to erase from history, THAT one is possibly more iconic than the real thing ever was. They have to erase the notion of a beautiful white woman being adored by all the men of the earth and replace it with more wakanda forever
