I spoke with a black woman colleague in my grad school yesterday and she told me she got psyched out of applying for a prestigious job in our field by woke fuckery. She brought her application materials to her white woke advisor; her materials were all about her accomplishments and achievements, but Prof. Wokehead said no no no, this won’t do, you should write about all the discrimination you’ve faced and all the racial trauma you carry. The student said “but I don’t feel like an underdog” and the professor tried to convince her she is one. So rather than debase herself by submitting materials that play up false narratives of being discriminated against, she just didn’t apply and of course now she regrets it.

Her take on it all was, basically, these woke fucks don’t see me as a person but as a collection of stereotypical traumas and shit. So I don’t know if she was woke before, but she isn’t now, and she’s doubly the demographic wokeness thinks it serves. So while we have a ways to go, I actually do think people are waking up from this goofy woke dream.
