I recently have been playing Across The Obelisk and I have been having a blast with the game. The game is basically a mix of Slay the Spire roguelike deckbuilder battles and Dungeons and Dragons.
Instead of controlling just one character like in Slay the Spire, you control 4 characters each with different cards to choose from.
The game has four different classes(Tank, Mage, Scout and Healer) with 4 unique characters for each class with a total of 16 unique characters.
You also have progression elements such as perks and town upgrades which persist after every run.
The best part of the game is that it has upto 4 player co-op multiplayer where each person can play a single character.
It is extremely fun playing this with friends. You can also play with just two or three friends and in that case you have each person or one person control two characters.
BTW, Across the Obelisk is currently on sale on Steam in case anyone is interested in it.
What games have you played recently?
a change of pace eh, not an unwelcome one either.
as far as games go im bouncing between everquest2, empherion galatic survial, and rimworld and in all three ive fallen for a dastardly trap of my own design called megaprojects...
just to explain a bit in rimworld im ofc builing the mega base everyone loves to do... gag me with a spoon that takes forever with just one colonist. thank god for speed up.
everquest 2 is a bit more relaxed im just doing tourist things snapping pics and getting my rat ass where its not supposed to be due to wonky colision to take better pictures and dabbling in the crafting system... huh, the crafting system reminds me of darkfall if i remember the name right if its anything like it i might have a good time. star wars once had an mmo with a crafting system that i liked too, its dust now but some servers are alive.
finally in empherion im building a world eater ive dubbed hubris, for good reasons. to give you a quick idea of scale think a 40k space hulk. basicly if this thing enters an atmosphere its beached... in exchange for that fact its going to have multiple hangers im thinking 6 that can each fit large capitol ships. a hab area thats designed to fit annother megaproject inside, a large city. lets call it new pork city, said city will also have the garden and part of the manufactury inside it too, munitions wise this thing will have as much dakka as i can shove on it by hook or crook, as for shielding as a result of the guns it will be non existent but when your armor is litteraly 10 layers thick you kinda dont need it, the thing might be able to even shrug off a damn railgun... as for speed this thing will be so slow as a result anything could run from it, thats what the hangers are for.
