If you're on the left you can reject certain leftist economic policies and still be part of the club
But you cannot reject Black Lives Matter, Open Borders, Trannies, Fags, etc... without being ejected from it.
So that is what leftism is.
To wit, if you contrast mainstream leftism from 20 years ago to today, the main difference is their rejection of working class economic populism (Ie. Trump's base). But you could quite easily predict their social policies today by looking at what they were then: pro-Black, pro-open borders, pro-gay, etc...
