Yes, you SHOULD be scared to act up. The Marxist push for "gentle parenting" in regards to not spanking or otherwise corporally punishing bad kids is to blame for this, along with the "destruction of family and religion" yada yada.
Punishments like that in ages past were just gentle tastes from loving parents who wanted you to understand that in reality, talking shit and acting like a bitch would get your ass beaten, badly, or maybe even killed if you messed with the wrong person.
