Hadn't seen many people talking about this. Really looks like some of the worst and most absurd anti-gun legislation. I think it puts CA and OR to shame, actually. It's bizarre and intentionally unclear. It tries to say that basically any part of a gun that could go into an "assault weapon" (which includes 'assault pistols' and 'assault shotguns' apparently) is also considered an assault weapon.
It's unclear if that includes all parts (such as triggers), or only parts that "define" an assault weapon (which is basically everything anyway.)
It's an absurd an insulting law and, and I hope it gets smacked down hard, or injuncted before it can pass.

Considering one of the qualifiers for an "assault weapon" is a pistol grip, it's pretty obvious they'll use this to ban handguns too. I've never seen a handgun that didn't have a pistol grip, barring some obscure antique muzzle loaded gun.

This bill already bans some shotguns and handguns; they're bot even pretending it's about scary rifles anymore.
