Sessler was always anti-Japan. Xplay was notorious for just being an absolute shitshow if any anime game was on it, wherein he would just devolve into the most juvenile high school bully insults about it the entire time and it was clear he was just going to trash the game entirely without a chance being given.
Like, they weren't a great source of honest criticism to begin with, but the point was to be funny regardless. And that never was, it was just the same "mom's basement," "jacking off to anime girls," "never talked to real women" drivel you've heard a million times.
Webb wasn't much better, but her acting wasn't the greatest to begin with and it always read closer to just reading the script (that I assume both of them were given by someone else) wherein his was passionate and seething enough to be at least part his own feeling.
