I've been noticing more bug eating scenes inserted into anime lately. Some examples:

Are You Lost?
Princess Connect
Skull Knight
Legend of Mana
Made in Abyss

At least in "Are You Lost?" it made sense since they were shipwrecked and needed to survive, but I was surprised to see it inserted with the others. Bug eating propaganda worming its way into anime?

Maybe it's fucked up to be fucked up and not propaganda.

In fact, it would be propaganda against all that shit.
