Quite a fun game. I had one issue--after you do the starting quests, you're told to "go to the lower Underrail exit and find the next objective." The starting town has two exits, one at the top and one at the bottom. Naturally, "lower" underrail is the bottom exit, right? Nope, that's the "upper caves." Lol. So the upper exit leads to Lower and the lower exit leads to Upper.
Well, that's what happens when a game refuses to provide a quest compass. Once I figured it out and stopped trying to fight the higher leveled mobs in the caves below, I had a great time. Only turn-based tactical RPG i've seen combine Deus-ex style level design of alternate paths (ventilation ducts!), hacking, and sneaking so well.
The world can be confusing, I agree, which is why I printed out the global map, after tagging every area on it with what it's name is in the wiki.
