I'm not sure why this is a suprise to anyone, no offense. The Ukraine has been Cuba 2.0 for years now so it makes sense why we're probably gonna have Cuban Missile Crisis 2.0 really soon. Just like Cuba was before the revolution, The Ukraine is/was a incredibly corrupt nation with all the political elite using it as America's playground and where they all made money on the side so you can see why the Russian invasion pissed them off so much.

The difference is sadly unlike Cuba which was defused by removing the missiles from Turkey, they have turned this in an existential war with Russia so I sady have zero doubt their incompetence will eventually turn this war hot.
