First solution is to ban overtime and fine companies that steal their employees family/spare time.
End the expectation of extreme work hours and total dedication to the company, shame the corporations and CEOs for stealing time from the employees and establish a better life-work balance.
Their work culture truly is a parasite on their society. I work for a Japanese company in America and have a bunch of Japanese coworkers. My Japanese boss will stay hours after work every day for seemingly no reason. I try to tell him if he has some meetings, just attend them from home since they're all over the internet anyway, but it is like talking to a brick wall. He has a wife and 3 kids though so he is ahead of most on that front but all the more reason why he should understand he gains nothing by staying at work late into the evening.
