The government doesn't make reparations because it sets a dangerous precedent that the government is at fault for things done by others in the past. If you cannot make the guilty parties pay for their crimes, then justice cannot be brought. Nothing will change that. When a man is dead, his crimes die with him. That is the law and that is how it should remain. IF he left an estate, that estate should suffer the consequences of his actions because it was his. But, even that is too late as the estates are all gone.
I know the government hasn't labeled them reparations, but the staggering amount of wealth they've just handed out to the black demographic could just as well be considered as such. It needs to stop.
