Science
Someone else posted about it earlier, but I have a more in depth article. The center of the earth has stopped spinning, and may reverse soon. https://archive.ph/HsE1z
Lockheed Martin has tested a high powered laser for various military vehicles. The laser has been promoted and tested since at least the 80's, but hasn't been placed in a publicly known vehicle. https://archive.ph/YVd0k
Disney
Disney+ will soon have targeted ads. This is more of a sign that Disney+ isn't as successful as Disney wanted it to be. https://archive.ph/psJCK
Bob Iger has minority control over an investment company. At the moment they are saying it won't be part of Disney, but the same thing was said about ads. https://archive.ph/jKefX
Big Business / Corporate Socialism
Alphabet (IE Google) has laid off their Edmonton branch for Deep Mind research. It appears that they only want people working at facilities owned and run by the company alone. https://archive.ph/yRZGW
Amazon now has a drug prescription delivery service. It's Generics at the moment, and costs $5 a month. https://archive.ph/UGAwd
Enshitification
Cory Doctrow pens the term as a way to describe company practices. Basically the company starts with a cheap and fun product everyone wants. Since everyone uses it, alternatives are pushed away. Then the company needs to make more money and begins to act like dictators. He puts in other stuff, but that basic outline covers it. BTW, the sudden need for more money is when the money laundering companies give way to the power laundering investors. https://archive.ph/0tJCo
As proof, CBC news talks about Sludge on TikTok. https://archive.ph/7ZCxw
Once again, feel free to repost a link if you want to have a more serious conversation on something.
I have it from scientificish sources that we will all die, now that earths core stopped spinning
[EDIT]Wrong source[/EDIT]
That's a very scientific look. The peer review looks excellent.
