Nah. They want eastern Europe for themselves, so they'll be sending just enough support to Ukraine to keep them in the fight, so that as many east Slavs as possible end up killing each other. As Graham said recently, they'll fight to the last Ukrainian.

Russia wants Ukraine for themselves and have been going out of their way to not terrorize the people or destroy everything in their conquest. If Russia used nukes, it would be tactical nukes to take out key targets easier and demoralize the Ukrainian military's resistance, it wouldn't be done as an Armageddon end of world scenario.
However, The West would immediately respond as if Russia was threatening the end of the world so they'd call all their meetings and double-down on the importance of the Ukraine war. Send more weapons, tanks, bombs, whatever to increase maximum death upon the Ukrainians. Meanwhile, The West would stall in their meetings to not immediately go to war by going through proper channels. Getting their democracies to "vote on it", etc... Thus accomplishing a few things. One, it would give Ukraine hope that the west was coming to save them and bolden them to take bigger risks which could help eliminate them faster etc... The West can also make false promises, give them a little help here or there to keep them dying and then only when the time is right, The West swoops in for themselves and they'll have the entire backing of their people to do whatever they wanted to.
