Being carbon aware means reducing carbon footprint by optimizing updates and downloads to run at a time when the console can use the most renewable energy.

This sounds moronic, since "peak renewable times" are pointless since presumably that power is getting used anyway.

Essentially it sounds like this is Microsoft "stealing" renewable energy so they can slap a little label on saying they're green.

It doesn't sound like anything is being improved, or any less energy is being used.
