I've been playing this Sonic phone app for the past week or so. Nothing special, but it's been fun to use characters that haven't been in the actual games for years.
Naturally, I don't pay a dime and am content with using ads to unlock the goodies. Most of them are just the tedious crap you'd expect, but I just encountered a "verified" "safe ad" that was extolling the virtues of "discovering who you really are" with a blatant cartoon of a little boy being encouraged to magically become a girl with the encouragement of some diverse "good friends."
I shouldn't expect integrity from mobile app ads, of all places, but at least I can understand the profit motive in convincing kids to steal mommy's credit card....
You should screen record it if you see it again.
Take some snapshots at least. I'm at work waiting for some calls, so the sound was off and I didn't realize what was happening until it was already halfway done.
