There’s a series (obviously in Aus) called “Remastered Australia”. Essentially they took a bunch of nature footage, filmed by the public broadcaster over the last few decades, and combined it into “episodes”…
Unfortunately, being the public broadcaster, they got a diversity hire Aboriginal actor (and not a very good one at that, but he is their go-to guy atm) to host and narrate it…
It is unwatchable. He just yells the narration. Even the syntax and where you would normally pause is all out of whack. As someone else said to me “It’s like as if someone was learning to read English”…
Utter cringe.
I realize that black communities in the US probably have higher literacy rates than Abo communities here do, but still, I would hate to suggest this is a sign of “things to come”, if we take this to its logical conclusion, lol…
