I've got a slightly different take on the right wing grifter - they're not necessarily all bad. They are effectively mercenaries in the culture war, and we're not in a position to be refusing them, provided they're effective.

We shouldn't let them lead, but if they want to fight back against the Left for a payday, when not enough true believers are, that is in our interest.
