Ok, I've noticed something weird about Netflix and want to point it out. The shows can be heavy handed in their message is something discussed all the time, so that's not new. However, the animated stuff tends to be really good until the last season.
We have discussed how bad the Witcher is getting, but the animated story showing a few decades earlier is really good. Everyone has understandable motivations and mistakes, along with love, loss, and difficulty. I can't say it's perfect Witcher, but as a story it's quite good.
The Voltron remake was amazing until the last season. I just pretend that season didn't happen.
The most recent example is Cuphead. It fits the narration and ideas of the game so we'll, it feels like the game was based on the show. Once again, the last season and it's arc was dumb and didn't feel like the rest of the show.
Sure there are shows that fail immediately, but any time I am thinking about it, they aren't the common factor. I have mixed feelings about the Stranger Things Anime because of this.
So, what gives? Why are the animation teams doing this? How is it happening?
I know it's not animated, but Barbarens season 1 was absolute kino. Season 2 quickly dropped down to Vikings tier quality. I dropped it the moment the male Roman and Barbarian started snogging.
Why do they ruin good things though? A great first or even several seasons, and then crap and SJW stuff.
