I used to wake up and check email at 7:15, book a ticket, and board the plane by 9:15 to be at a meeting at 12:15. From Phoenix to Los Angeles. That's like a glorified bus.
For any number of reasons I don't know how effective that would be now, and a lot of people have flown a lot farther from California than Phoenix, including me.
Airlines have cut back on those overpriced, undercapacity business flights. I guess Friday might be a weekend flight for the airline. I used to do this more like Mon-Wed, or even Thursday, but nobody wanted to fly out for a meeting on Friday.
How are you supposed to fly out there same day?
