I'm amazed this is a surprise to you. MLS is literally the most pozzed football league in the world. The EPL is doing everything it can to catch up though.

They hate themselves and every reflective surface reminds them they're lying to themselves and the world unsuccessfully. 99% of people they're attracted to want nothing to do with them.

If they didn't have external validation, they couldn't keep up the charade.
