I wonder if anyone in the ADL is frantically yelling that they need to dial back all their insane flexing.

Conversations to that effect have to happening somewhere.

I imagine the counter argument is that such a vulgar demonstration of power will scare more black celebrities and leaders into silence, and it's more important to silence them than keep random black people clueless. They will argue that it doesn't matter if they lose the average black guy for a while - he'll forget once its out of the news cycle for long enough. All they have to do is keep the rich blacks silent and hoping the ADL doesn't come for their fortune next.

I don't know if it comes from within, but conservative philosemites critique the ADL along similar lines. I believe Tucker Carlson pointed out that their partisan shitlibery was going to turn combating anti-semitism and promoting Zionism into partisan issues which will undermine them.

Dissident Right people have noted this, too. It was getting "pulled into the gears" of polarization. Now, it's just brazen.

They're not nearly self-aware enough to have any such restraint.
