Meanwhile, right now on planet earth, the vast majority of human beings live in highly insular social groups that are ethnically and racially homogeneous. The racial Pokémon champions are not reflective of hardly anyone’s real experiences. That’s why everyone identifies more with a Netflix show starring 99% Asians than we do with shows that are perfectly “diverse”.
