As a kid I remember seeing historical pictures like that guy getting executed in the street by the RoK army soldier, and thinking "Wow that's horrible, the South weren't good people either. It was war but they went overboard."
Now I can totally understand how such acts are justified. There's only so much brazen evil inflicted against us we can tolerate before taking drastic corrective actions.
