Who would you say is worse when it comes to crapping on the source material? Wheel of Time Showrunner or Rings of Power Showrunner

I’ve read both but I guess I was just shocked at how badly they could butcher a story. And with Rings of Power they uttered the dreaded “reflect the modern world” crap.
