It is. In America anyway. That doesn't stop discrimination against men in the workplace, the laws in practice favor women. However companies are not allowed to be this blantent about discriminating against men, they need plausable denablity or they can be sued sucessfully.
I am not saying this is how the law would see it....
But the idea of "preferring" one thing but then saying both have an equal opportunity is an outright contradiction and an absurd thing to say. Oh the law may let them get away with that contradiction but it is still nonsense and dishonest.
