Last time I read Metal Hammer (UK) was something like 20 years ago it was obvious they hated metal even then. I remember a letter posted on the readers' mail page from the guitarist of Corrosion of Conformity, calling Metal Hammer a bunch of cunts with no clue about metal because they had slagged off the concept of guitar solos in the previous issue.

Their main readership, no doubt even moreso these days, was nu metal/metalcore/crossover and grindcore-listening teens and tranny-worshippers who also hate 'extreme' metal. No surprise whatsoever that they'd print something from a worthless study just to insinuate that metallers are gay or whatever.
