Agreed about Nicki Minaj. I was never really into her music, although she actually says decently intelligent things, sometimes, nowadays (like with Corona. See also: Vanessa Hudgens), so... I hate her less than when she was popular, perhaps, lol. But yes, she definitely contributed to this trend, let's say...
I think what's significant about this is that we are (all) expected to LIKE it, and find it "empowering", or whatever. But it's also that "she" is trans. That is important, here.
She's not even a "born woman", if you will. Which is definitely a jump from say, Minaj, or even Cardi B or whatever...
