This is why there is such an overlap between autism and transgenderism. This is classic black-and-white autistic thinking. Either you must be a totally emotionally-repressed automaton or you must be an overly emotional, impulsive, useless mess. There's no in between in their minds.
The truth of the matter is, masculinity does sometimes require you to set aside your emotions. Because if you don't in a crisis, you're a useless, panicky, weepy mess. You need to do whatever hard or dangerous thing needs to be done to survive. Who else is going to? That's the burden and the privilege of being a man. Yes it is hard, and we don't always act in the way that we should; but it is rewarding and meaningful.
That doesn't mean that there is no room for emotions, though. Life should be embraced with passion and zeal. And we should reflect on our lives: past, present, and future. Artists have historically helped us to do so, helping to process the complex emotions that come with human existence. Sadly, many artists have become mouthpieces for destructive, valueless ideologies and are not acting in accordance with their potential.
Ultimately, moderation is important in almost all things. Emotions are important, but must be kept under control.
