No, panel shows are dying because they replaced actual comedy talent with a roster of painfully unfunny woke women and Nish Kumar.
But you repeat yourself.
Remember when Nish got booed off a stage?
The point a lot of people miss is that Nish Kumar had the bread rolls thrown at him.
That means his skit shit the bed so fast the diners hadn't even had their soup yet. That's an impressively fast crash-and-burn.
So not being a Brit. I’d only see them pop up in social media. But I’d agree anything with Nish was not funny. And I also saw clips that included Krishnan Guru-Murthy, and the only reason I know who that is he pissed off Robert Downey Jr. asking inappropriate questions on a media tour for an early mcu movie. And in that clip Krishnan was just as unpleasant to watch as he was in that interview.
Look up 8 out of 10 cats does countdown. It's probably one of the funniest things I've seen. Taskmaster can be amazing and boring depending on the season and challenge. Check out the first season and decide for yourself.
Oh I’ve watched some of the older ones and they are hilarious.
The newer seasons are hamstrung by a developed 'metagame.' Contestants know that they need to be trying to think laterally and the showrunners have to write challenges in a way they don't just get circumvented all the time, same way laws have to be eight paragraphs long because shitters are always trying to find loopholes hidden between typoed commas.
Funny moments still happen but the newness has worn off and in some ways it's just been 'figured out.''
