In fact, the disparity is very small and the only reason Blue states have any advantage isn't because they're Blue, it's because they squat on the best real estate in the country: the coasts and the ports, and so get all the top end economic activity, which depends on imports of things like food and resources from the red states.

And every single high crime city in the US is deep blue in how it votes, even if it's inside a red state.
