So we know about the shit getting pushed in their schools now. This wouldn't have happened if Japanese parents fucking checked what is being taught in schools. We cant make the same mistake in the West. This wont end unless it ends in America first and foremost.

They probably had good cause to trust their system, at least socially and culturally. Unfortunately, they lack the social immune response against pathogens, because such pathogens have been socially suppressed for so long.
Europeans are also very trusting of their system, but it's decreasing thankfully. It doesn't even mean that they will agree with everything the authorities do. They even recognize that the authorities are corrupt and pretty awful. And yet it leads to the default response being "well, they probably had a good reason for doing what they did" - i.e., a very strong presumption in favor of the competence and actions of the elites.
