Do you honestly think that they won't try again, if they see Ukraine sitting there, loyal to globohomo, with a tiny military?
Russia's hostility to, and ambitions for Ukraine won't go magically go away with a peace treaty. They ruled that land for centuries, and they want it back. They consider it both strategically and culturally important to them.
I don't have a horse in the race - it's one corrupt shithole vs another corrupt shithole - but even I can see that if the current regime in Ukraine wants peace, it will have no option but to be ever-ready for war with Russia.
Ukraine is going to have a large and experienced army, with a LOT of equipment at the end of this. Russia won't try again for years. 30-40 of them at least. Within that time frame, I completely expect Ukraine to become a NATO signatory and an EU member.
