Chunk runs a news outlet named after a political faction that conducted a genocide of Turkey's Christian population.

Ana is descended from those who fled that genocide.

Chunk denies that genocide happened.

Imagine if the CEO of a news outlet named 'The Brownshirts' had a Jew on his team, denied the holocaust ever happened, and then said to that Jew 'I like you, that why we'll kill you last.'

What does that sound like to you?

Because to me it sounds like a truth spoken in jest.
