This affirmative action hiring is not a rumor. It's reality. And it has a profound impact.
I worked at Michound Assembly facility for over a year. They are open amongst the government contractors onsite about filling quotas.
While these contractors and Nasa can hire 10/10 women, having a background in bartending doesn't make you a good member of the technical team. Their techs on the floor are mostly a joke. Some of them are borderline missing a few bolts up there.
And unfortunately, the pay grades put the best and the worse in the ame category. Welders at the same pay as morons who don't know how to set a torque wrench.and don't get me started with managment... putting women in positions of power to 'look good' when they treat the manufacturing culture like a high-school with insulting prep rallys..
For the most part artimis is built by a few exceptional personel surrounded by mostly mediocrity. This rocket is just a cash cow for defense contractors suck tax payer dollars down the drain.
Artimis should be anonymous with "white collar welfare" cause that's what it is.
I'm back in private sector for 1, vax mandate, pure blood still, 2, working on artimis for a year was a waste from a career standpoint.
This is why the NASA is irrelevant (why send men to the moon again?) now that a civilian company, SpaceX, has proven they can explore space and maintain satellites and stuff better and at lower cost (none to taxpayers, I assume).
You miss spelled black wa-man to the moon.
Diversity up and down the chain.
Their obsession with imutable characteristics is sickening.
If an engineer-led project like a moon mission capitulates to the diversity nightmare, they're just asking for disaster.
