Iirc, Sullivan was ambassador to Ukraine before going to Moscow, and ambassador to Georgia prior to that - yet I can't find that information and it's certainly not in his wiki. Where did it go?
The only reference I can find at the moment is from an NPR article,

It's worth noting that during his time in Georgia there was a brief border war with Russia, and during his tenure in Kiev the whole Ukraine border war blew up. Then they sent him to Moscow.
This guy is as dirty as they come.
