Would you find it odd if 42% of his political guests were Chinese?

I don't think Chinese are overrepresented among people commenting on politics. On the other hand, if he invited hackers or chess grand masters and 42% were stronk Slavs, that wouldn't surprise me at all.

Personally it might seem a bit weird and suggest that maybe the Chinese have too much influence in the Western political sphere.

I think bad people have too much influence on Western politics. Some of those bad people are Jews, and many others are not.
