Trapping pretty much always requires more than tranny surgeries and cross dressing. There was a situation that got posted here where a gay guy kept the lights dim and used baggy clothes to disguise his form. I don't know how his victim found out the truth but the faggot got what he deserved and the victim was acquitted of murder. The moral of the story here is that trapping can happen, it just doesn't happen when the guy is sober and can see clearly. Even in pictures there's always something off about them, and there are all kinds of tools to manipulate photos.
