Welcome to The Fall of 2022, where we begin to understand that we are at war with an Ouroboros.

On a long enough timeline, it destroys itself without assistance. Problem is that in this timeline, it destroys itself but takes everyone else along with it.

Fascinating, if there weren't so many lives at stake.
