The abolishment of the death penalty was one of our biggest mistakes in western civilization. Fact is, there are people who are so broken and fucked up they cannot be healed - or redeemed. No amount of meds and therapy will ever fix things (in fact, meds often makes it worse). Everyone who things otherwise is either a liberal women, a naive gullible fool, or both
